Advance HSS Social Justice Initiatives

Help Titans champion social justice in the classroom and community.

Your investment will:

  • Develop new courses and faculty/student research opportunities
  • Support social justice programs such as Project Rebound, the annual Religion and Non-Violence Symposium, the HSS Lecture Series, the College Office of Equity and Diversity, the Center on Culture and Diversity in Psychology, and the African American Studies Vision of the Future Initiative

In this time of rapid change and social uncertainty, it is increasingly important that we give voice to those who have not been heard and to advance social justice and the common good of all, regardless of race, gender or class. Evolving from a long-established commitment to social justice and activism in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Initiatives for Social Justice will provide support to the vibrant and engaged social justice community of our college.

Your investment in the Initiatives for Social Justice will support the development of new courses and innovative teaching, endowed professorships in areas related to social justice and community-based research by our faculty and students. Funds also will support emerging social justice projects such as Project Rebound, the annual Religion and Non-Violence Symposium, the HSS Lecture Series, the College Office of Equity and Diversity, the Center on Culture and Diversity in Psychology, and the African American Studies Vision of the Future Initiative.
