Unwavering even on her worst days, Kimberly never believed her educational journey was over — she simply thought it would be harder to get there.
She describes the “family” she found at CSUF who provided the resources and support she needed to keep going. The Titan Scholar program helped her understand and apply to graduate school, and the McNair Scholar program renewed her passion for research. She hopes her work on post-chemotherapy cognitive impairment will reduce suffering among cancer patients.
Now in her 60s, Kimberly is a proud Titan graduate, having achieved at long last her bachelor’s degree in human services.
